If light is controlled, time will stop?

It is said that the research team of Cornell University in the United States succeeded in the experiment which stops time completely.
They said that time stops seemingly at least by the technique of bending light and making the "hole" of time.
"In order to apply, we have to extend the hole of time sharply first."
Mr. Zhimin Shi who is with optical research institute in Rochester University in the United States said.
